DoT Moment of the Month

Digital Learning Day 2019! SFUSD was broadly represented in this year's national Digital Learning Day. Schools participated in a variety of ways ranging from trying new digital pedagogical strategies to inter-disciplinary collaboration. For more information, contact Dan Frost (FrostD@sfusd.edu)

Cybersecurity Tip

Phishing attempts can get tricky. Have you received an email that makes you go "hmmmm?" When in doubt, submit a Help Desk ticket. And whatever you do, DO NOT share personal or financial information. Read about the recent Phishing and Gift Card Scam to learn more.

Digital Learning

Flowchart with action steps for digital learning and digital citizenship

In support of the Graduate Profile, Digital Learning Facilitators engage their sites to empower their school community in personalizing learning, as well as designing and managing digital opportunities so that each and every student can thrive in the 21st century.

The DLeaFs empower school sites to thoughtfully incorporate digital resources for more effective and creative student-centered learning experiences.

It's time to refresh all Laptops for Educators (L4E) devices this school year! Over half of district sites have already either successfully completed or coordinated an exchange event with DoT. A current list of past & upcoming exchange events and eligibility requirements can be found at l4e.sfusd.edu. Site leaders looking to schedule an exchange event can submit a ticket at help.sfusd.edu to request those details.

Digital Citizenship

Social media has benefits if used properly. Rather than viewing social media as an incubator for negativity, model best practices. Here’s a list of things you could do to make social media a positive and friendly environment.

Help Desk

Women's Herstory Month

In March, we celebrate all of the amazing contributions that women have made in history, and we wanted to share some links to resources and activities for celebrating these contributions.

Happy Birthday, Google!

Google logo with confetti around it

Three years ago, on March 7th, 2016, SFUSD “went Google”. To celebrate our three-year anniversary, we created a Google-themed crossword. There is an easier version and a much more difficult version (not for the faint of heart!), with an answer key for both.
